Our serving tray come to you with mineral oil on them. To avoid them drying out you will need to apply mineral oil or cutting board conditioner on them regularly and after washing/sanitizing.
How to sanitize your serving tray:
-Soak a clean, white cloth with either pure white vinigar or 3% hydrogen peroxide.
- Wipe down the tray thoroughly and let sit for a few minutes.
- If there are any stains or odors, sprinkle kosher salt or baking soda onto the tray, and rub with the cut side of a lemon to clean and deodorize.
-After washing, let the tray air dry completely.
-Before putting it away, apply mineral oil or cutting board conditioner to prevent bacteria growth and keep the wood from drying out.
